Michal Takac and Tim Inskip walked into the Den with a hemp brand spanning skincare, wellbeing goods and food supplements, in series 15.

Shoppers can still buy the products in the UK today, though the question of who actually runs the company has shifted since the pitch.

Clearing Up a Misunderstanding First

Takac and Inskip asked for £50,000 for a quarter of the business, describing a hemp producer growing its own material free of pesticides and fertilisers, after having to reassure at least one dragon early on that this was not some kind of drugs operation.

Jenny Campbell backed the deal for the full amount. Her fortune came from cash machines rather than skincare, an unlikely pairing on paper, but the terms closed exactly as pitched.

Real Shelves, Then A Murkier Picture

The Active Hemp range did land in Planet Organic and various independent health shops and chemists in the years after the pitch, a genuine retail win.

More recently, at least one 2023 report suggested Takac had stepped away from Carun while staying involved elsewhere in the hemp and CBD world.

A Yes, With a Caveat Attached

Two UK stockists, Healthy Supplies and a specialist called CBD Hemp Oil UK, currently sell the range, and the parent business in the Czech Republic keeps its own site running too, with fresh reviews and social posts appearing regularly.

That answers the narrow question, the products genuinely are still for sale here. Who is actually steering the ship behind that shelf appears to have changed since the pitch, and anyone digging deeper into the company rather than just the product should know that going in.

Note: Based on the public record; company situations can change, so treat this as a snapshot.
