Sarah Agar-Brennan pitched plush cushions moulded into popular emoji faces, chasing the messaging-app iconography wave that was everywhere in shops and phone cases at the time.

The company did not last. It was formally dissolved a little over a year after the episode aired.

The Terms

Agar-Brennan asked for £80,000 for 30 percent of the business, and Tej Lalvani and Jenny Campbell backed the full amount jointly at those terms.

Lalvani built his career in vitamins and supplements before joining the panel, and Campbell came from consumer banking, so the appeal here rested on the founder's delivery and a striking product rather than category expertise from either investor.

A Trend With A Short Shelf Life

A novelty item riding a cultural moment generally needs one of two things: a fast, heavily funded push into shops while the buzz lasts, or a genuine reinvention into something with staying power once that fades.

Emoji themed goods had already become crowded by the time this launched at scale, and larger manufacturers were able to turn out near-identical plush items for less.

What Companies House Shows

Records confirm the business was struck off on 10 December 2018, not much more than a year on from broadcast, a clean and unambiguous ending.

No active company sits behind the brand today, so any current listing claiming to sell fresh stock is almost certainly old inventory rather than a functioning business.

Note: Based on the public record; company situations can change, so treat this as a snapshot.
