Raphael Babalola and Adam Hutchinson brought a self-care line built for men of colour into the Den, in series 20.

The business is still selling, just carrying a different, shorter name these days.

Solving a Problem the High Street Ignored

They wanted £50,000 for one tenth of the business, planning to spend it on production and marketing for a men's skincare line properly formulated for darker complexions, something the big drugstore brands had largely overlooked.

Steven Bartlett wrote the cheque for the full sum. He was the youngest dragon at the table and the one whose own commercial instincts leaned most toward consumer and digital brands, which suited a founder building a modern subscription business.

New Name, Same Idea

You will find the brand now at tmpl.care, selling subscriptions for skincare and wellness supplements aimed at men, and the marketing still openly nods to the original television appearance.

Swapping a name is not the same thing as shutting the doors. It reads here as a company sharpening how it presents itself once it had a clearer sense of its own market.

A Change On The Cap Table

Public filings show Steven Bartlett has stepped down from his formal director role at the company. Losing a director title is not proof an investor has cut ties entirely, but it is a change worth knowing about.

The underlying gap the brand set out to close, skincare genuinely built with darker skin in mind, has not disappeared, and if anything mainstream beauty is under more pressure than ever to catch up, which gives this business every reason to keep going.

Note: Based on the public record; company situations can change, so treat this as a snapshot.
