A Long Negotiation, A Joint Deal
Piri wanted £90,000 for a fifth of the business, and after negotiations that reportedly stretched close to three hours, Deborah Meaden and Peter Jones agreed to fund the full amount together at those terms.
That much scrutiny before two investors signed on suggests the model needed real convincing, and both ultimately saw enough appetite from schools and universities to commit.
An Institutional, Recurring Need
Unlike a typical consumer purchase that depends on ongoing marketing spend, schools and universities have to teach anatomy to a new cohort every single year, giving a touring educational experience like this a recurring built-in customer base.
That kind of institutional demand is a large part of why a pitch built around unsettling, headline grabbing television theatre has managed to keep running for so long afterward.

The exhibition continues to run sessions at schools, colleges and universities across the UK, booked through its own website, and has picked up at least one delivery partnership with an established learning provider.
For a business this unusual, still touring and still picking up institutional partnerships years later is a genuinely strong outcome.
