Charlotte and Grant Clemence pitched garden and fence art printed onto tough, weather-resistant acrylic panels, in series 21.

The company has grown well beyond the small operation the pair first started.

Handing Over More Than a Third of the Company

The Clemences asked for £50,000 against 35 percent of the equity, a sizeable stake that reads as founders wanting genuine hands-on partners rather than just a cash injection.

Sara Davies and Steven Bartlett agreed to fund the whole amount jointly. Coverage at the time mentioned a clause letting the equity drop to 25 percent a year later if the business hit certain targets, the kind of fine print that often gets ironed out well after broadcast.

Shipping to Australia Now Too

What began as a couple spotting an untapped niche in outdoor decor has turned, by the company's own account, into a manufacturer serving both British and Australian customers.

Taking production overseas is not something a small brand does lightly. It generally only happens once the home market has proven itself solid enough to justify the added cost and hassle of shipping stock abroad.

Not Betting Everything on One Storefront

Design choices have multiplied since the pitch too, an Art Deco line sits alongside animal-print pieces and fully custom commissions, sold both through the company's own site and an Etsy shop that pulls in a different, design-hungry crowd.

A separate wholesale arm supplies independent garden centres and gift shops, so the business is not staking everything on direct sales alone.

Note: Based on the public record; company situations can change, so treat this as a snapshot.
