Weakly corroborated by CBC's 2013 retrospective (https://web.archive.org/web/2015id_/http://www.cbc.ca/dragonsden/blog/pitches-from-the-past-a-whole-lotta-healing-going-on) which says "The outcome of the pitch seems to hang in the balance, but then there's a clear turning point where the Dragons shift from unruly to pacified, and the end result is anything but predictable." The ask was a donation rather than equity, so "deal" likely means the Dragons gave money without equity. Treat as a lead, not confirmed.
