The Hub verdict

Putting half the business on the table for a five-figure sum values the edible-gel product near one hundred and fifty thousand, and that split reads as a founder chasing a partner and validation as much as cash. He got a version of it without the money. No Dragon invested, but one passed while offering to sponsor Larry Laing into his Venture Park accelerator, which for a single-product inventor still hunting a route to market is worth more than a small cheque. The site still carries marketing copy and a featured-products page, though nothing is currently available to buy through it.
