Our read

The Hub verdict

Vegan, eco-minded perfume is a crowded but growing corner of beauty, and the trio behind Potion Paris, Suzanne Haines, Astyn Demaine and Omar Mian, brought it to season 20 asking £50,000 for 20 percent. That sets the brand at £250,000, a sensible opening for a young fragrance label. Two Dragons came in, Steven Bartlett and Peter Jones. With three founders on the cap table already, taking outside investment means splitting ownership further still, so the decision to raise at all was a considered one rather than a reflex.
