The pitch
What walked into the Den
Alex Rigo, from Pembroke, Ontario, invented a cart for wheeling garbage and recycling to the curb in one trip.

The Hub verdict
This is the oldest pitch in the batch, a season 3 curbside cart from around 2008, and the ask is the strange part: $600,000 for 90 percent hands over almost the entire company at an implied valuation under $700,000. Founders who offer that much are usually selling an invention rather than building a company around it, looking for someone with manufacturing and distribution to take it off their hands. It is a shape that turns up far more often in the early seasons than in the modern show.
An unusual ask: nine tenths of the company for $600,000
